Our projects

JEDA is actively engaged in European projects that explore, test, and validate the future of aviation. Whether research-focused, experimental, or deployment-oriented, these initiatives benefit from JEDA’s unique role as the pan-European umbrella for the drone sector. Through our engagement, we ensure that the drone community’s voice is fully represented in shaping Europe’s aviation future, bridging innovative concepts with operational realities and regulatory frameworks.

Sector-Wide Insights

We bring real-world feedback from operators, SMEs, manufacturers, and trainers to help design rules, systems, and infrastructure that work in practice, not only in theory.

Visibility & Dissemination

Through our 22 national associations across 21 countries, we ensure that project results are shared widely and adopted across Europe, giving initiatives stronger impact and legitimacy.

We connect project outcomes with the work of EASA, the European Commission, JARUS, and SESAR, ensuring innovation translates into harmonised, proportionate, and future-proof regulation.

Advocacy & Alignment
AirMob

AIRMOB aims to serve as a skills accelerator in the field of Innovative Air Mobility (IAM), involving students, workers, trainers, companies, and institutions. The project is developing new educational pathways for:

  • students in technical and university education,

  • professionals seeking upskilling and reskilling,

  • trainers interested in innovative teaching methods,

  • companies interested in co-developing tailor-made training programs,

  • public institutions and regulators involved in shaping the sector’s strategies.

Pegasus

JEDA together with its partners submitted a proposal for a Pilot Project on Green Innovative Air Mobility Solutions for Smart and Sustainable Cities. The project under the name PEGASUS aims to evaluate and increase the societal readiness for sustainable and societally integrated Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) systems for cargo delivery and services.

Spatio

SPATIO (u-Space sePAraTIOn management) aims to research the U-space services addressing separation between UAVs, in particular, strategic and tactical conflict resolution services and the relationship between separation and capacity in U-space airspaces. i.e. the relation with the Dynamic Capacity Management service.
