Who We Are
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Brussels, the Joint European Drone Associations (JEDA) is the first and only pan-European umbrella organisation that unites national drone associations under a single, credible voice. Today, JEDA brings together 22 national associations from 21 European countries, representing more than 3,500 professionals across the unmanned aviation value chain, incl. operators, remote pilots, manufacturers, service providers, training organisations, and technology developers
Our Purpose
JEDA exists because Europe’s national associations chose to combine their strengths. By joining forces, they ensure that the drone community is heard as one—in Brussels, in national capitals, and across the aviation ecosystem. As a non-profit, policy-oriented partnership, we promote the interests of stakeholders engaged in the operation, production, R&D, services, and applications of UAS, while advancing a common vision for the seamless integration of unmanned aviation into European airspace.
Most drone policy in Europe is shaped at the EU level rather than by individual national bodies. JEDA was created to bridge this gap, transforming a fragmented landscape into a collective European voice that engages the European Commission, EASA, SESAR JU, JARUS, and national authorities with authority and consistency.
Our Mission
To represent and advance the collective interests of Europe’s drone stakeholders by shaping proportionate regulation, enabling safe and scalable operations, and building a trusted, innovative ecosystem that benefits society and the economy.
Promote sector interests across operation, production, research & development, service, and applications of all kinds of UAS in Europe
Develop and sustain a shared understanding of how UAS/RPAS integrate seamlessly with aviation and the European airspace system.
Unite the European UAS/RPAS stakeholder community comprehensively and on a consensus basis.
Our Values
We operate as a consensus-driven, member-led European association that translates policy into safe and scalable drone operations across the continent.
